Located in Beacon, New York and overlooking the majestic Hudson River, the Mount Beacon Incline Railway is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

The focus of a concerted volunteer restoration effort, this funicular railway was designed and engineered by the Otis Elevator Company. It operated from 1902 to 1978 and was tragically destroyed by fire in 1983.
